Job Description:

Department Overview:

The TD Securities Capital Management Group is part of the Wholesale Banking Finance group and is accountable for all capital and leverage exposure management, and funds transfer pricing for TDS. The group provides subject matter expertise and advice to the business to support optimal financial resource management. Further, the group is involved in consultations and industry discussions regarding current and upcoming OSFI Capital requirements, as it relates to capital markets products. It is also responsible for allocation of capital for business line measurement and ownership of Capital Management Frameworks including establishment of segment limits, ongoing monitoring and escalation, and leading optimization and cost savings initiatives.

Job Overview:

The Senior Manager, Wholesale FTP is the primary lead and point of contact for all Liquidity Premium (LP)-related activities within TDS Finance. The role is accountable for end-to-end delivery of BAU FTP results, oversight of the LP process for Forecast and Plan cycles, and clear communication of LP outcomes and drivers to senior stakeholders. In addition, the role provides strategic direction on framework enhancements, manages critical assumptions, and leads initiatives to improve allocation methodologies and business logic.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead production and review of monthly and quarterly LP results, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timeliness
  • Oversee LP processes for Forecast and Plan cycles, including assumptions, methodology, and outputs
  • Ensure full and appropriate allocation of funding and liquidity costs across TDS business lines
  • Drive enhancements to FTP allocation methodologies, including regional allocation and tactical/structural business logic
  • Lead reviews of critical assumptions and assess impacts on business behaviour and decision-making
  • Partner with stakeholders to evolve the FTP framework in line with funding strategy and regulatory expectations
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior Finance and Front Office stakeholders on FTP and LP concepts, results, and drivers
  • Clearly articulate drivers of LP movements and implications for business performance
  • Develop and deliver senior-level communications and educational materials on the FTP framework
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to direct reports to ensure strong performance and career growth
  • Promote a strong culture of governance, control, and continuous process improvement
  • Manage the team's involvement in compliance exercises and internal/external audits

Additional Information:

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • 10+ years experience
  • Strong understanding of Wholesale Banking businesses, trade types, and funding implications
  • Solid knowledge of Fixed Income, Money Market instruments, and derivatives (e.g., repo, bonds, futures, forwards, options, swaps)
  • Proven experience managing or leading teams, including performance management and development planning
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage senior Finance and Front Office stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to investigate complex issues through data and stakeholder engagement
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills to manage high-touch, time-sensitive monthly and quarterly processes
  • Operational mindset with a focus on accuracy, governance, and process efficiency
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and integrate new requirements into existing frameworks

Specific Educational Requirements / Accreditations:
  • CFA, FRM, CPA or equivalent designation preferred
  • Graduate degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or related discipline considered an asset

Work activities include a blend of highly collaborative activities and individual deliverables. Individuals are expected to be onsite 4 days a week. Colleagues may spend more or less days in office as required by the business line.
