Department Overview

The Web Development Team is part of the Public Sites & Tools department. We are responsible to work on and publish over 3000 content requests per year on some of TD's public websites: TD Canada Trust, TD Bank, TD Wealth and Direct Investing, TD Insurance, MBNA, and TD Corporate. The Web Development team includes over 40 team members in Canada and offshore.

Job Description

Reporting to the Web Production Manager, the experienced Web Producer will support strategic initiatives within the Digital Content Management Platform. The successful candidate will have extensive experience with front-end web development and designs related to public facing websites.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop web components and content that function across multiple browsers and form factors
  • Apply defined development standards and content management best practices including but not limited to code and content reusability, extensibility, maintainability, and coding conventions
  • Execute unit and integration testing on all deliverables
  • Analyze and implement functional business requirements and technical design specifications
  • Proactively provide technical recommendations and solutions that are aligned to business and technical strategies
  • Collaborate and interact directly with design, business, and technology partners
  • Work in Adobe Experience Messaging (AEM)
  • Collaborate with onshore and offshore developments teams and business partners

Must Have Skills
  • 3+ years of experience with website development, focusing on front-end technologies, in the public online space
  • 3+ years of experience HTML, CSS/CSS Grid frameworks, responsive design
  • 3+ years of experience working within a large-scale enterprise environment, preferably in the financial sector
  • 3+ years of experience of multi-platform delivery strategies required (desktop, mobile, tablet)
  • Proficiency with cross browser issues
  • Understand and apply online accessibility standards consistently
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Experience with templating engines or web content management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and switch priorities and focuses as needed
  • Ability to work well in an integrated team environment
  • Detail oriented individual with the ability to see things holistically
  • Data driven, strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Hands-on experience with Agile frameworks
  • Well-versed in JIRA and Confluence platforms for collaboration
