Department Overview
This position is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting and analysis of the Bank's funding programs. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse team of internal and external stakeholders to provide investor reporting, financial data and analysis.

Job Description

Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting the operations of the Bank's asset-backed securities (ABS), mortgage-backed securities (MBS), Canada Mortgage Bond (CMB) and covered bond programs including data retrieval and analysis, extracting critical data elements and aggregating information into program files in order to provide monthly financial and investor reporting
  • Compile regulatory disclosure documents for submission to regulators or posting for public viewing
  • Support program administration of the programs by performing ongoing calculations, reconciliations, payments, trade inputs, securities transfers, notice obligations and transmission requirements
  • Monitor program triggers to mitigate risks and communicate observations and analysis to management team
  • Provide ongoing program maintenance by opening and closing bank accounts, paying invoices, assisting with audits
  • Develop a solid knowledge of the various programs and their structures, ensuring program and regulatory requirements are adhered to
  • Collaborate with product groups and other stakeholders to elicit data requirements on a timely basis
  • Prompt investigation and resolution of errors and/or queries from internal stakeholders, operations or reporting staff
  • Establishing, documenting and maintaining operational procedures and controls and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, policies and tools to meet regulatory and compliance requirements, industry best practices and/or achieve organizational goals

  • Experience working in structured finance program operations; knowledge of ABS, MBS, CMB and covered bond programs and structures
  • Experience in legal documentation interpretation & analytics
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, a keen attention to detail and the ability to interface effectively and build relationships with internal and external partners
  • Excellent PC skills: expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and solid knowledge of Microsoft Word
  • Self-motivated, self-starter and capable of learning through job experience
  • High level of commitment to quality work
  • Ability to work under tight timelines and deliver accurate results
