Interprets materials and manufacturing plans and Sales/usage history and forecasts to create, organize, adjust and control the ERP/MRP master schedule and monthly operations plans
The Supply Planner is responsible for analyzing, planning andcoordinating build schedules and material purchases production. The successfulindividual is pro-active, team oriented, understands good planning practicesand engages enthusiastically in the problem-solving process and exhibits strongfollow through.
Develops and implements build plan in support of forecasted revenue demand and other non-revenue requirements. Responsible for the accuracy of the messages presented
Analyzes future capacity requirements and recommend adjustments to resources to support near & long-term needs
Generates achievable manufacturing schedules that meet customer delivery requirements
Analyzes and coordinates impact to material Planning systems of manufacturing process changes, new product introduction, yield variations and /or product mix changes
Works with global supply chain & manufacturing engineering to ensure capacity planning tools are accurate & reliable
Monitors production execution to plan
Ensures prompt communication of schedule changes throughout planning, operations and to the customer
Ensures a high level of data integrity exists to support MDS/MPS/MRP accuracy
Analyzes key performance indicators and other relevant data to support excess/obsolete, inventory strategies, service level and supplier management strategies
Responsible for the administration of and adherence to the global Planning processes. Monitors MPS/MRP execution (as applicable)
Planning items include and are not limited to Inventory items, accessories, after sales and warranty support
2-3+ years of Supply Planning/Master Scheduling experience.Related experience in Supply Chain Management, Planning Management and NewProduct Introduction is desirable.
A background of working in a team environment is crucial, alongwith a demonstrated ability to set and achieve goals and objectives.
BS/BA degree preferred; Previous experience with sophisticatedsupply chain planning software is an asset.
Leadership - Demonstrate a positive, results oriented style byplanning, organizing, directing, and controlling the work to be done.
Technical Knowledge - Have a working knowledge of Planning & Scheduling sufficient to execute the strategic plan. This will include knowledge about Supply/Demand, Forecasting Methodologies etc.
Communication - Routine and thorough communication (both verbally and in writing) to people inside and outside the company.
Planning and Analyzing Skills - Demonstrate a probing, analytical approach to problem solving.
Interpersonal Skills - Foster excellent relationships and credibility quickly at all levels of the organization-an ability to create a partnership atmosphere with internal and external resources while achieving objectives.
Be the business focal point on cross-functional teams when creating build plans, as well as executing the business plan for long term strategies.
