We are hiring a Supply Chain Supervisor for our client in Surrey, BC.

Position Summary:

The Supply Chain Supervisor oversees the supply chain on aB2B level to minimize cost, drive quality and ensure on-time delivery of bothoutbound and inbound purchase orders, as well as handling all date to daycommunications directly with the clients purchasing desks. The supervisor willapportion requested product, outline delivery routes to maintain regulatorycompliance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with trading partners to ensure shipmentsdelivery and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the following business units, Finance, IT,Purchasing and Logistics to process and complete orders and check availableinventory.
  • Revise and follow up on product shipments.
  • Handle any order discrepancies and variances in a timelymanner.
  • Prepare and revise required paperwork.
  • Setup appointments for order deliveries.
  • Setup outbound logistics to customers DC's on a timelymanner.
  • Setup inbound logistics to all Canadian DC's.
  • Negotiating prices with logistic carriers.
  • Setting up relationships with logistics carriers.
  • Follow up and process "Advanced Shipping Notices (ASN)" sentfrom vendors.
  • Communicate with Internal Supply Chain management onfrequent basis.
  • Understand customers system procedures and programs forhandling day to day business.
  • Collaborate with production scheduling to assure materialsavailability for all processes and customers.
  • Collaborate with Executive Team to understand businesspriorities and translate them into supply chain strategies.
  • Evaluate vendor quotes; negotiate, maintain and updatestandardized agreements, contracts and standing orders with qualified vendors.

  • Requirements

  • Strong experience in supply chain at a supervisory/management level.
  • Strong communications skills and relationship buildingskills required.
  • Generalknowledge in Microsoft office suite.
  • Goodwritten and verbal communication skills, in English, French is a plus
