Innovate and Lead - Step into a senior leadership role where your technical expertise and strategic vision will shape the future of mine waste management across British Columbia, the Prairies, and Northern Canada. As the regional lead for our Mine Waste Dumps and Stockpile practice, you'll drive innovation, mentor emerging talent, and expand our impact across the mining sector.
Your Impact
- Lead the technical direction and strategic growth of our mine waste dumps and stockpile practice across Western and Northern Canada
- Champion innovation and best practices in mine waste design, operations, and closure
- Mentor intermediate and senior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and leadership
- Strengthen client relationships and industry partnerships to ensure our work remains relevant and respected
- Contribute to internal guidance documents and external publications, elevating WSP's thought leadership in the mining sector
The Skills That Set You Apart
- 15+ years of experience in mine waste dump and stockpile management across diverse geographies and project types
- Deep understanding of Canadian mining operations, particularly in BC, the Prairies, and Northern territories
- Advanced knowledge of industry standards and guidelines for mine waste design, operations, and closure
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and mentor professionals toward leadership roles
- Strong professional network and history of presenting at conferences and contributing to technical working groups
- Professional designation in engineering (P.Eng. or equivalent) required

Compensation:
Salary range (in British Columbia): $201,000 - $264,000
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The salary range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
