We currently have an excellent career opportunity for a Senior Tax Specialist in our Saint John, NB office to work for clients in our Private Client Services (PCS) group. This individual will participate in multiple and challenging tax consulting engagements and contribute to the delivery of innovative tax compliance support for our diverse clients. This position offers excellent opportunities for learning and career advancement to the right candidate.


    • Demonstrate an understanding of increasingly complex tax concepts and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situations. • Develop and deliver innovative tax compliance products with timely and responsive services and work products that meet and/or exceed client expectations. • Work with our assurance team in the review of tax provision working papers. • Maintain continuous interaction with clients, manage expectations and ensure outstanding client service. Team with tax professionals to provide comprehensive tax services. • Participate in and contribute to attaining team goals. • Thoroughly and accurately analyze information. • Prepare practical and creative solutions to the client's tax situation and arrive at appropriate conclusions. • Encourage communication and effectively supervise team members . • Make informed decisions in complex and judgmental areas. • Contribute to a flexible, stable, and team-oriented working culture that fosters personal development

    • a bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, finance, or economics • an accounting designation • a minimum of 3 years of relevant Canadian tax compliance experience or the equivalent experience in business or industry • started or willing to start the In-Depth Tax Course (or equivalent) • excellent managerial, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills • a commitment to learning in a tax technology environment
