Brainhunter is currently seeking "Senior Project Scheduler" to work for our valued Client. The position requires the successful consultant to be on-site 5 days a week in New Brunswick.
This role will be responsible for developing, tracking and updating level 3 or 4 resource-loaded P6 schedule. The candidate is expected to work independently with various internal and external stakeholders. The senior scheduler will provide detailed analysis, inform of delays and opportunities to expedite the schedule.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities :
• Create and maintain master integrated schedule (Level 3, 4 and 5) based on changes and inputs from multiple stakeholders.
• Development and maintenance of resource loaded project master schedule as per the project WBS.
• Ensure Key activities and schedule milestone dates identified in the schedule basis are captured as part of project master schedule.
• Review and development of Basis of Schedule.
• Update the integrated schedule with progress tracking information and ensure earned value progress in scorecard aligns with schedule update.
• Knowledge on earning rules of credits, scorecard setup and its integration with regular schedule updates.
• Participate in Qualitative risk assessment and other project risk assessment sessions. Own, monitor, track and mitigate risks associated with schedule.
• Assess schedule impacts as part of the management of change procedure and modify the schedule to reflect all approved changes.
• Monitor and track schedule milestones and other key activity/deliverable dates and notify project team of any variances and initiate schedule mitigation.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors in development and management of their schedule including schedule interface process.
• Organize required schedule reviews with project personnel, internal and external.
• Assist project controls team in the generation of cash flow curves and other cost forecast for the project.
• Develop and review "look ahead" schedule for project team members to track the progress.
• Review with all stakeholders the variance analysis after every schedule update and address action items.
• Incorporate approved changes in the schedule and analyze the impact of changes to the project critical path.
• Provide feedback to key stakeholders as to the overall status of the project, inclusive but not limited to critical path.
• Mentor junior Project Schedulers.
• Work in collaboration with various critical roles within the project team to ensure accurate KPI reporting.
• Produce and generate custom reports using P6, excel and/or any other software implemented in the Project, obtaining information from various team members, consultants, and contractors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

University degree in related field
• More than 15 years' experience as a scheduler, especially in a mega project.
• Proficient in development of Primavera (P6) scheduling and reporting
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite, proficiency in English, and excellent skills in communication and attaining information in a fast-paced environment.
• Thorough knowledge of schedule principles in their application to projects.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
