Under the Direction of the Front Office Manager this position is responsible for making Hotel Room Reservations for guests either by phone, email or in person. Reservations Agent may also be responsible for the organization of rooms and packages for incoming groups, taking advance payment for rooms and general customer service excellence upon requests for assistance and act as liaison between the hotel and guests. Other responsibilities include:

• Taking room reservations
• Coordinating any special services requested while making a reservation such as special room requests and extra amenities
• Providing guests with resort and facility information
• Assisting switchboard if required
• Handling billing arrangements for 3rd parties and groups
• Handling telephone and fax messages for guests
• Liaising and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
• Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and employees)
• Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
• Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:

• Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills
• Customer service experience
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects at one time
• Computer literacy in MS Office; Opera an asset
• Reservations or Front Desk experience an asset
• Providing a Great Experience and Memory to all guests, both external and internal

Bilingual French/English is required

Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule. The hours of work will be based on operational needs.
