The Medical Authorization centre (MAc) Pharmacy is responsible for making decisions concerning health needs for products that require authorization. In this role you will service various contracts and work as a member of an overall medical professional team. The primary goal of this unit is to provide positive health care outcomes through on-line case assessment using computer technology.
In this position you will work various shifts from 6:45 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday to Friday.Key responsibilities
- Make decisions concerning clients' health needs for products that require authorization
- Administer process for special authorization decisions through the interactive use of telecommunications and applied on-line POS technology
- Utilize your medical background, knowledge and experience to render decisions
- Liaison with the customers and other health care professionals to ensure treatment requests are appropriately administered
- Provide a positive and efficient customer service experience for providers and clients
- Support positive health care outcomes through on-line case assessment using computer technology
: Active Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.Work experience
: Have practical nursing experience, including knowledge of medical conditions in relationship to pharmaceutical treatment.Other Qualifications
: You have excellent negotiation and decision-making skills, are multi-tasked and thrive in a fast-paced environment, have superior verbal communication skills and you are able to work shift work on a rotating basis.computer Skill
s: possess strong computer skills or aptitude.Language Skills
