Working experience as a Quality AssuranceAssistant in a Health Canada regulated environment with proficiency indocumentation and analytical testing.
Quality Control Inspector under directionof the QC Manager is accountable for in-process quality monitoring and qualitycontrol of Cannabis production processes in strict compliance with the CannabisRegulations, GMP, and GPP standards.
Good Understanding of Cannabis Regulations,Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, Pest Control Products Act, Fertilizer act,Guidelines for residual solvents ICH Topic Q3C (R5).
Knowledge and compliance with GMP, GPP, GLP, GDP, HACCP.
Working knowledge of seed to sale system(ERP System) is an asset.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure that all processing activities arecarried out as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), at all times, to resultconsistent quality medical cannabis products.
Enforcement of GMPs, GPPs, and Policies
Perform pre-operational inspection checks
Review and approve labels for packaginguse.
Monitor calibration and preventive maintenancestatus of equipment/instruments/components. Evaluate and approve sanitation ofequipment and production areas during change overs and assure all marijuanaproducts are free of contamination.
Conduct air monitoring, environmentalmonitoring, pH testing, lux monitoring, and other testing.
Conduct equipment calibrations as required.
Review status of process materials andensure proper control, release and transfer of materials for production throughERP System. Monitor and verify clone, plant and product transfer acrosscultivation rooms and vault.
Ensure that cannabis/ marijuana materials/products are destroyed as per current approved SOPs in line with CannabisRegulations.
Perform Quality functions such as batch/lotrecord review, deviation/failure investigation, product sampling and retention,document control and record management to ensure process and productcompliance.
Act as backup for QC Technicians
Other duties as assigned by QC Manager, QAP,or Divisional Manager (RPIC)
BSc in Biological Sciences/ Pharmacy/ Food orpost-secondary diploma in Science related technical discipline.
Previous Health Canada Security Clearanceand work experience with a Canadian Licensed Producer (LP) is considered as anasset.
Previous experience in Quality Control infood, pharmaceutical, or related industries considered an asset.
0 to 2 years of experience in QualityControl
Proficient in English (proficient orfunctional in French is considered an asset).
Knowledge of plant science, microbiology, horticulture,chemistry is an asset.
Security Clearance: Security Clearance may be requested for this position.
