Department Overview

TD Equipment Finance ("TDEF") is the specialized equipment financing business within TD Business Banking, providing lease and term loan solutions to Canadian businesses through both shared bank and direct customer relationships. TDEF partners closely with customers and relationship teams to deliver equipment financing solutions tailored to client needs.

Job Description

The Product Manager, Pricing & Business Initiatives, plays a key role in supporting the performance of TDEF through pricing execution, sales team enablement, and delivery of business initiatives across the organization.

This role focuses on process execution and optimization, ensuring pricing decisions, reporting, and processes remain aligned with business objectives in a dynamic and competitive market. The role works closely with Sales, Treasury, Finance, Credit, and Operations teams to provide guidance, deliver insights, and advance initiatives that improve efficiency and business performance.

Accountabilities

Pricing Execution & Sales Support
  • Provide ongoing pricing guidance and support to Sales teams to balance competitiveness and profitability
  • Support pricing initiatives and framework enhancements, including profitability, margin management, and rate lock processes
  • Monitor market conditions and competitor practices to inform pricing decisions and adjustments

Sales Enablement & Pipeline Support
  • Support sales productivity and pipeline management efforts, including improvements to opportunity tracking and reporting practices (e.g., BBHub)
  • Provide guidance to Sales teams to improve clarity and consistency in opportunity management and pipeline visibility
  • Contribute to tools and reporting that enhance Sales effectiveness and decision-making

Business Reporting & Insights
  • Deliver and maintain core business reporting, including originations, pipeline, margin, and activity tracking
  • Provide insights and analysis to support day-to-day business decisions and performance monitoring
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency, accuracy, and usability

Business Initiatives & Process Optimization
  • Lead or support cross-functional business initiatives, including system enhancements, workflow improvements, and process standardization
  • Contribute to the execution of initiatives such as BBHub enhancements and operational improvements
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and consistency across internal teams
  • Support overall analytics and business initiatives by delivering strategic insights, aligning key stakeholders, and helping turn enterprise priorities into clear, scalable business actions

Sales Incentive Plan Support
  • Support the ongoing administration and evolution of the TDEF Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), partnering with Compensation and Finance teams, as required
  • Assist with analysis, reporting, and review processes related to performance and compensation

Job Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or a related field
  • 6-10+ years of relevant experience in pricing, analytics, commercial banking, or financial services
  • Strong experience in pricing, commercial analysis, and performance reporting
  • Proven ability to support cross-functional initiatives and process improvements
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Solid understanding of commercial lending, cost of funds, and deal economics
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Hands-on problem-solving skills with a high degree of adaptability
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with Sales and business partners
  • Digital fluency with advanced proficiency in Excel and business reporting tools (e.g., Power BI)
  • Fluency in both French and English is an asset
