We are hiring an Irrigation Specialist for our client in Atholville, New Brunswick
As an Irrigation Specialist, you are required to perform all tasks in the cannabis cultivation process and understand all aspects of cannabis cultivation including, cloning/planting,irrigation, nutrient management, plant maintenance, pest and pathogen controlsand light cycles regulation for optimum plant growth and harvesting.
Conduct lotcoding and tracking of individual marijuana plants and the resultant harvestedbulk and finished cannabis products.
Responsible forsanitation of equipment and production areas, preparation and maintenance ofnutrient reservoirs and irrigation system.
Assure all cannabisproducts are free from contamination risk at all processing stages right frompropagation to final packaging.
Implementstandard procedures that maximize equipment safety, sanitation practices,maintenance support and assure consistent quality product output.
Ensureregulatory requirements needed for premises and equipment used for cultivation,harvest, preparation, packaging, storage, infusion and sale of marijuanaincidental are maintained in clean and sanitary conditions.
Monitor forQuality Control checks in order to ensure process and product Quality in linewith site Quality Assurance team.
Perform safe andeffective harvesting, trimming, drying and converting cannabis bulk productinto high quality marijuana products.
Ensure thatrefuse and waste products are managed and destroyed as per the current approvedStandard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Maintain, checkand review of Lot Production Record for each cannabis batch. Track and recordclone, plant and product transfer across cultivation rooms and vault.
Oversee generalfacility maintenance of cultivation/production areas and apply problem-solvingskills to overcome daily cultivation/production issues.
Maintains cleanand tidy workspace and displays a high standard of cleanliness.
Collaborateswith Production Supervisor in daily cultivation tasks, job training and reviewof cultivation staff work schedule and performance.
Collaborateswith other department associates in all areas to improve process performanceand safety.
Employ professionaland clear communication practices to maintain a positive and progressive teamatmosphere.
Otherresponsibilities as assigned by Department Supervisors/Leads and Managers.
Carry out otherduties as assigned by Lead Grower.
High schooldiploma or equivalent.
Commercial grow experience or professional equivalency is an asset.
Post-secondary Diploma in Agriculture/Horticulture/Forestry and (or)any other related technical discipline an asset.
Previous HealthCanada Security Clearance and work experience with a Canadian Licensed Producer(LP) is considered as an asset.
StrongAgricultural background in a GAP and HACCP regulated environment, withproficiency in various cultivation and plant maintenance techniques.
Demonstratedexperience in cultivation of cannabis or other delicate commercial crops.
Knowledge ofplant diseases, insects and fungi, as well as plant treatment processes.
Must have accountability, proactive behaviour, strong attention todetail. Able to follow company policies and contribute towards the goal ofachieving Production targets within set timelines.
Works well alone and in a team environment.
Good communication and documentation skills.
Always maintainprofessional and friendly attitude.
Security Clearance may be requested for this position.
Some occasional weekend work or on-call work may be required as per directionof immediate supervisor/manager
Physical aptitude andhealth necessary to perform manual labor tasks required for the propermanagement of cultivation warehouse
