The Inventory Manager isresponsible for overseeing daily inventory operations and personnel, under thesupervision of the Director of Facility Operations. The Manager creates andimplements processes, protocols and key performance indicators associated withinventory management to ensure inbound and outbound inventory workflow meetsdaily sales and operational demands. The Manager is responsible for developingand managing a department budget as well as hiring and managinginventory/warehouse personnel. The Manager is also responsible for ensuringcompliance with all related certifications, cannabis industry regulations, andlocal state and federal safety regulations within all managed facilities andthroughout all business processes.


  • Utilize warehouse management software systems to facilitate inbound and outbound inventory and stock transfers.
  • Generate and process purchase orders with suppliers and vendors and forecast future stock needs.
  • Coordinate advanced ship notices with vendors and suppliers and schedule inbound deliveries.
  • Verify inbound shipping manifests for accuracy and product quality upon delivery, facilitate payment and receive all inbound shipments into inventory.
  • Facilitate product quarantine and testing with qualified testing lab partners as required.
  • Process inventory pick slips for outbound sales orders and prepare orders for outbound deliveries.
  • Partner with operations and accounting personnel to perform scheduled cycle counts by reviewing documentation and verifying against perpetual stock in WMS inventory.
  • Generate reports and documentation to research inventory anomalies.
  • Update inventory based on results of anomalies by entering data into WMS, following applicable policies and procedures.
  • Generate follow-up reports to verify accuracy of adjustments.
  • Participate in all scheduled audits by counting, researching, adjusting and generating reports.
  • Verify item set-up and integrity in dimensions, code dating and UPCs.
  • Analyze inventory imbalances through research and physical checks to improve inventory integrity.
  • Evaluate product locations and positioning to optimize all areas of warehouse operations, including receiving, warehousing and shipping.
  • Communicate and address concerns and issues from other departments, including Sales and Operations (internal and external) to reduce inefficiencies and product damage.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities.

  • Requirements

  • Mandatory proficiency and experience with warehouse management systems. Finale highly preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and have intermediate accounting and math skills.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or 4+ years of progressive manufacturing or distribution leadership experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience in consumer packaged goods warehousing and/or processing is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point) is required.
  • Must be comfortable and able to navigate third party vendors' databases and programs.
  • Ability to anticipate and correct for potential problems by regularly assessing and updating protocols.
