We’re looking for an experienced, full-stack marketing manager to lead our growth. You in?

You’ll build and lead a team to execute against aggressive growth targets. You have experience developing strategic initiatives, supporting tactical campaigns, measuring success (or failure - it happens), and funneling all of that into the next move. You are obsessed with SEO, PPC, PR, and CRO; you dream about split testing, copywriting, or funnel building and the new ways to achieve and measure your impact across all of it. 

You’ll manage the day-to-day (tactical and process-driven tasks), as well as the development of long-term strategy for Freight Club, in partnership with the corporate marketing team. There will be tight deadlines, moving targets, multiple stakeholders, career-making projects, milestone moments and so much more. 

Objectives of this Role

  • Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments
  • Support growth targets through the development of strategic initiative, technical campaigns, and continuous course correction
  • Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration
  • Analyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
  • Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics
  • Partner with email, performance marketing, and web teams to design, test, and evolve lead nurturing tactics

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Freight Club marketing plan in partnership with Corporate Marketing
  • Create and execute marketing strategies in support of brand awareness, increased lead volume, and acquisition 
  • Develop segmentation, targeting, and positioning plan across buyer journey (personas, industries, etc.)
  • Design and optimize email nurture programs using personalization
  • Project and process management for Freight Club
  • Manage promotion and positioning of Freight Club products
  • Web, social, and email - lead updates & optimization
  • Events - lead event & webinar planning & develop & iterate scalable playbooks
  • Contribute to content strategy, thought leadership, and PR planning
  • Find and leverage customer champions, collect testimonials, develop customer success stories, case studies, etc.
  • Search engine marketing and PPC campaigns (Google Ads, Bing, paid social, software directory sites)
  • Create and optimize web and landing pages 
  • Marketing operations/automation 
  • Coordinate trade shows from pre-event to post-event
  • Work closely with the sales team to execute targeted campaigns
  • Track campaign and channel performance and report on key metrics
  • Manage and grow the brand’s presence across multiple sites and social media platforms
  • Manage the marketing budget and adapt based on results
  • Manage team process and reporting structure in partnership with Corporate Marketing


  • 6-8 years of marketing experience in the software industry. At least 2 in a management role. 
  • Proven success in product growth.
  • A deliberate approach to team building, growth strategy, and brand development.
  • Proven ability to craft powerful content across all channels and mediums.
  • Experience across a variety of marketing channels – brand marketing, product marketing, digital marketing, content marketing, event marketing is desired.
  • Experience working with or managing external agencies or contractors is an asset.
  • Demonstrated process and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to collaborate with people.
  • Experience engaging with people across a variety of levels with diverse backgrounds.
