The Cashier is directly responsible for the operations of the front window, transactions with the count room, and assisting with cart transfers as required by the Cage Supervisor. The cashier is to promote and maintain the utmost integrity and the highest calibre patron service to all internal and external patrons of Casino New/Nouveau Brunswick, while adhering to all rules and regulations set forth by the company, the department and the New Brunswick Lotteries and Gaming Corporation (NBLGC). Other duties include, but are not limited to: all cage transactions occurring during the shift which includes preparing bank deposits, overseeing cash, processing, balancing, verifying of all paperwork, issue jackpots, and preparing fills and balance kiosk's. The Cage Supervisor will promote and maintain the utmost integrity and security with the highest calibre of customer service to all internal and external patrons of the Casino. Must adhere to all rules and regulations set forth by the company, the department and the New Brunswick Lotteries and Gaming Corporation and ensure the policy of confidentiality within the company is adhered to at all times. The Cage Supervisor is responsible for the administration, day to day supervision and operation of the cage department. Other duties include but are not limited to: perform daily supervision of the Cage operation and staff, and ensure that all in-house transactions are completed efficiently and accurately, Working Conditions
• Use proper lifting, bending, pushing and pulling techniques • Ability to stand for extended periods of time; bend, stoop or kneel as required • Work with tools or equipment pertaining to job requirements • Perform job tasks and remain vigilant in the event of an emergency • Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull heavy objects of approximately 40 pounds • Ability to work a flexible schedule - Operation requirements will be 24x7 • The physical qualifications listed above are general requirements for this position. The actual exertion level (and frequency of use) can and does fluctuate depending on the individual tasks being performed Knowledge and Skills Required
• High school diploma or equivalent required • Previous cage or cash handling experience preferred (minimum 2 years), along with previous supervisory experience • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing • To logically and independently plan, organize, and complete work assignments in a timely manner • Ability to perceive quality of work, read material and review documents, receive/follow/apply instructions • Possess high-quality interpersonal skills • Set and achieve high standards of performance and customer service skills (internal & external) • Complete training course(s) offered by the Casino • To understand all count team policy and procedures • To understand and apply all Internal Controls, Casino policies, and Cage policies and procedures • The capabilities to multi task under time constraints • Perform basic math skills and use problem solving skills • Computer knowledge with word, excel and other Microsoft applications • Must be 19 years of age or older • Bilingualism is preferred
