The Headof Manufacturing is responsible to provide strategic and operational leadershipfor the production department as an integral part of the leadership team. TheHead of Manufacturing will be responsible for the manufacturing production andquality control but also lead the successful scale-up and on-goingmanufacturing of quality products within GMP standards. You will inspire a growing team to achieveresults that satisfy the quality, time and quantity targets by sharing astrategic perspective. You must ensure that the manufacturing line are capableof meeting production goals and maintaining a consistent, high-quality medicalcannabis line fully consistent with Standard Operating Procedures and GPP.GMPrequirements. Working with all employees engaged in Production/Packagingactivities, he/she will ensure the entire process is monitored, regulated andthe result is excellent medical cannabis.


  • Knowledge ofphysical security requirements for Controlled Substances related legislations,regulations and guidelines in Canada.\\
  • Strong and current knowledge with logistics planning system (ERP) andother computer applications.
  • Knowledge of SOPs and ability to follow the ACMPR regulations.
  • General understanding about the operational controls and inventorymovement of controlled substances.
  • Strongorganization skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge andcompliance with GPP, GMP and GLP.

  • Responsibilities:

  • Supervise andMentor the Manufacturing department
  • Strongorganization skills and attention to detail.
  • Overseethe complete manufacturing department and packaging processes and ensure theproduct meets required specifications
  • Scheduleall post-harvest activities and staff to ensure a smooth work flow.
  • Pre-planwork events and input metrics
  • Ability to learnnew processes.
  • Understands andadheres to all SOP's, work instructions, safety procedures and policies.
  • Accountable tomeet individual productivity standards.
  • Maintainexcellent 5S standards, which entail accurately and efficiently managing itemsin the packaging area and warehouse.
  • To Communicateon cross-functional teams to ensure continuous, ongoing improvement ofprocesses, methods, productivity and quality, while reducing costs.
  • Maintains a safework environment by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Able tocommunicate effectively with team members.
  • Thoroughunderstanding of company goals, objectives, policies and matters related to thebusiness.
  • Ability to workwell under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to workvariable shifts.
  • Other duties asassigned by the Division Manager (RPIC), or QAP.
  • Ability to act with tact, good judgment, anddiscretion; sensitivity to confidential matters is required.
  • Professional demeanour, a positive attitudeand customer focused approach.

  • Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (Sciences; Business; Engineering) or related field \\
  • Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience in operations management;pharmaceutical and/or GMP facility.
  • Experience in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing or Automation.
  • Previous Cannabis operations Management experience in a LP underHealth Canada an asset
  • Ability to thrive in a high-performance culture
  • Strong computer skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high performing work teams
  • Superior communication and organizational skills.
