Based in Moncton, this role plays a meaningful part in shaping resilient municipal infrastructure-water, wastewater, stormwater, roads, and community-serving civil works. As Design Engineer, your work will directly support safer, more efficient, and sustainable communities across New Brunswick.

Your Impact

• Design civil and municipal infrastructure including site grading, servicing, water distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater management systems.
• Prepare engineering deliverables such as design reports, drawings, cost estimates, and tender packages for municipal projects.
• Provide field support and construction oversight-review shop drawings, conduct site visits, observe progress, track deficiencies, and help ensure quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across environmental, geotechnical, transportation, and planning groups to deliver integrated solutions.
• Contribute to project coordination tasks such as scheduling, budgeting input, document management, and communication with internal partners.
• Support proposal content, technical inputs, and scope development to help strengthen regional project pursuits.

The Skills That Set You Apart

• A degree in Civil Engineering, plus experience in municipal design and construction oversight.
• 5- to 8 years of experience
• Eligibility or progression toward P.Eng. designation in New Brunswick.
• Proficiency with design tools such as Civil 3D (or other civil design platforms).
• Knowledge of municipal design standards, permitting processes, and provincial guidelines.
• Experience producing drawings, calculations, and contract documents for civil/municipal projects.
• A collaborative mindset and a passion for supporting healthy, sustainable communities.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $66,700 - $88,400

MB & ON: $60,900 - $83,800

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $60,300 - $80,000
