The Content Marketing & Communications team at TDAM provides a broad range of functions including consulting, communications, design and digital professionals to support sales for advisor and client audiences across both retail and institutional distribution channels including TD Wealth lines of business, TD Canada Trust, and external broker-dealers.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Manager, Communications, TDAM, the Communications Associate role supports the execution and delivery of strategic business communication and marketing programs across TDAM. The successful candidate will leverage their experience and expertise to support a diverse portfolio of initiatives. Key accountabilities for this position include:
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans and produce content for various TDAM business initiatives - e.g., sales campaigns, conferences, product launches
- Act as the communications lead with project teams, providing strategic counsel and sound communications advice and regularly advising partners of communication strategy status
- Work with colleagues within TDAM to identify distribution efficiencies and build these into channel-specific content
- Draft and edit a variety of content including sales tools, brochures, product overviews, special reports, press releases, website copy, and other communications as required
- Oversight of BAU or regular communication vehicles, such as newsletters, where applicable.
- Contribute to the development of standards for content including look and feel, tone, focus, audience, relevance, etc.
- Maintain a working knowledge of TDAM and its products, including TD Mutual Funds and ETFs, and product trends within the investment industry, and conduct comparisons
- Build and foster strong working relationships with key stakeholders including sales teams, product, creative, legal and compliance
Job Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of professional writing and editing experience and/or a post-secondary/university degree in a related discipline such as English, Journalism, Public Relations, and Marketing/Communications
- 2+ years of mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, or investment industry experience
- Ability to produce professional messages that are tailored to audience needs and support the overall success of the TDAM business
- Exceptional writing, editing, proofing and presentation skills, with an ability to synthesize and summarize details quickly and leverage the power of words in a variety of media
- Strong attention to detail and ability to convey a tone, voice and style that reflects and reinforces the TDAM business and sub-brand
- Self-starter with demonstrated ability to take on complex initiatives and multi-task, managing multiple timelines, stakeholders and relationships
- Confident in ability to deliver results within aggressive timelines
- Flexibility to quickly adapt to changing and ambiguous initiatives or requirements
- Solid knowledge of MS Office (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel), SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro, and with exposure to social media
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
