General Description of Job
A Buffet Server
handles customer enquiries, prepares and maintains cashier station, and serves customer's beverage or other items not available at the buffet counters. A Buffet Server is expected to know health and safety regulations, respond to emergencies, and comply with applicable provincial regulations. The Buffet Server should be able to establish a rapport with guests, demonstrate professionalism and a positive mental attitude. The Server is responsible for providing gracious level of service to guests to support guest satisfaction. The Server is also responsible for contributing to an environment within the restaurant & bar which encourages fellow co-workers to be happy, motivated and proud of the products and services provided by the restaurant, resulting in a joyful, memorable, relaxed and casual event for the guest.
•Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays, we are an approved 24x7 operation •Handle repetitive physical motions for long periods of time •Maintain health (i.e. wash hands regularly to prevent spread of germs •Must be able to work standing for 8 hour shifts, and overtime as required. •Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle -To conduct our jobs with concern for the environment and its resources. Whenever practical and possible, reduce use of items, re-use whenever possible and recycle those items that can be •Must be 19 years of age or older •Work within a 24/7 operation with ability to work flexible hours when required (days, evening, nights, weekends and holidays) •Willing to submit to a criminal record check with results acceptable to our organization, standards and position, and/or obtain and maintain an NBLGC license registration •Must have employment eligibility in Canada Knowledge and Skills Required
