Deloitte Risk Advisory is looking for talent to join our Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) delivery centre team. This unique area of our practice focuses exclusively on testing activities on behalf of some of Canada's largest organizations in a range of industries. The delivery centre provides a ground-floor view to understanding how businesses operate with integrity, through defined processes, control activities and governance, to ensure financial reporting and disclosures are fairly presented and is a fantastic foundation for more senior roles in finance, internal audit and business operations.

Working in Risk Advisory's Internal Audit team offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment, which presents you with the opportunity to continually grow and learn from a diverse team of collaborators. Your days will be filled with impact - professionally, socially, and personally.
What you will do:
You will have a coordination, team management, and quality control oversight role for a segment of testing activity delivered out of the centre. Working in concert with client engagement leads, testing leads and control testers, you will be provided on the job learning and tasked with mentoring, coordination, and quality review of testing outputs, prior to release to the client engagement leads. As your comfort level grows, you'll be given increased scheduling, supervision and liaison responsibilities, to support the Delivery Centre leader team.
Who you'll meet:
You will be assigned to a Quality Controller in the delivery centre, who will assign client streams of activity and be a first point of contact for any questions you have. You will additionally liaise with client engagement leads, who manage the ongoing relationship and overall program delivery for a particular set of clients. They are great resources to help you understand the client you are supporting, and they will perform some of the quality assessments on your documentation and testing.
You may also be asked to interact directly with our clients - to request documentation or to participate in process and control interviews.
How you'll learn:
We provide training as part of your onboarding into the delivery centre, to familiarize yourself with our systems and processes. You will also be provided access to resource libraries, additional training and a vast network of peer professionals to help guide you and transition into life at Deloitte.

You'll also join a Hive - a group of risk advisory practitioners from all levels that serve as a support network to ask questions, explore new project opportunities, network and discuss career path. You will also be assigned a performance coach that will work with you to set personal development goals, track progress and regular and ongoing feedback from both the client engagement leads and your assigned testing leads.

You are someone who has:
- Completed Undergraduate or master's degree in Accounting or Business; completion of college accounting programs will be considered.
- 3-5 years' experience in process and controls assessments, external audit or related finance experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting practices and standards (Canadian IFRS and US GAAP)
- Professional accounting or internal control designation preferred (CPA, CIA, CISA)
- A natural curiosity, inquisitiveness, and desire to understand our client's business, process and controls
- An ability to think creatively, problem solve and work independently
- A detail-oriented mindset, with a high level of pride in your work
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills; strong written communication skills
- Ability to manage to timelines and balance commitments.
