Title –Principal Software Engineer (Java,NodeJS/NestJS/TypeScript,React/Redux)
Headcount – 1
Salary– up to $170,000 CAD + potential EOY bonus
Location – Toronto, ON (remote)
Interview process – 3 interviews total

Position Overview:
Our client is looking for a Principal Software Engineer to join a team responsible for developing the microservices and web applications that power their in-house data collection process.

Relevant Technologies:

- Java, NodeJS/NestJS/TypeScript,React/Redux

- AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform

- MySQL, Event Store, MongoDB, Redis, Sisense, Tableau

Skills and Requirements:

- University Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience

- Experience with and understanding of product-driven engineering and agile delivery

- Strong coding background in multiple languages

- Proficient with writing both front-end and server-side code

- Strong experience working with both relational and unstructured data

- Familiar with Linux, cloud computing (AWS, etc.) and containerization

- Good system design skills, preferably with experience designing high scale distributed systems

- Ability to guide and coach multiple engineering teams on software design principles and best practices
