Cyber Security Business Systems Analyst

The proposed resource must meet or exceed the following education and certification requirements:

•      University Degree in either Business Administration or Information Technology

OR

•           An equivalent combination of a College diploma (related to Business Administration and/or IT) and experience may also be considered.

5 years Experience as a senior business analyst working in Information Technology projects with a focus on Information Security conducting requirements elicitation & business system process documentation for IT applications in both agile and waterfall project modes.

Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English.


At least 5 years:

Demonstrated experience performing security analysis for complex business transformation initiatives in a multi-entity organizational environment. Describe the:

• Complexity of the business transformation;
  • Stakeholders within the multi-entity organization and how their competing priorities were managed;

Issues experienced and how you resolved them.

Demonstrated experience in effective interactive communication and presentation skills including but limited to requirements elicitation, workshop facilitation, and requirements prioritization. Include in the response:

• stakeholders (business owner, executive level (Directors, VPs) engaged to complete project tasks;  
  • types of communications or interactions you have experienced;
  • types of deliverables you have generated from the communications or interactions;
  • approach to information gathering, including (but not limited to) asking questions, investigation, digging deeper and doing research.

Demonstrated experience analyzing, documenting and diagramming operational processes and workflows, developing operational procedures, standards, and/or policies to achieve identified business outcomes, including those related to network and IT infrastructure security.

Provide details on the types of deliverables produced and stakeholders engaged, and the approach taken to complete the work.

Experience working on Identity & Access Management technologies, with preference for experience with Privileged Access Management tools and solutions.

Experience with Cyber Security program design and implementation and/or execution of the program.

Demonstrated experience in prioritization of assigned activities or tasks. Describe your approach to managing your time through proper prioritization of activities. Identify what inputs (sources of information), checks and balances you apply to ensure proper prioritization. 

Demonstrated experience with jurisdictional reviews.  Provide details on the engagement approach, relationship management and value of the exercise.

Current certification from a recognized professional business analysis association, such as PMI-PBA, IIBA-CBAP.

Current certification from a recognized information security association such as CISSP, CISM, CISA.

Experience working in or for the public sector in Canada.
